Huge establishment in an industrial setting that is great for large parties, small parties and family friendly. Heated patio has a one of the best views in town (if you can look past the alley and phone lines:). As a repeat customer I can say that the service is consistently good (no one should rate the service on a restaurant they've been to once) and the food is equally consistent and innovative for the style of restaurant. Drink specials are hard to beat on almost any day of the week. Can be loud in the bar, so request a seat elsewhere for a quieter dining experience. Prices are reasonable for quality and for Durango, as well, there is a decent range of prices for each individuals preference. If you support restaurants that use locally made ingredients and have environmentally friendly practices, Steamworks will impress you! Do you fear hormone laden beef and chicken as I do? All the burgers are locally processed and free of "additives" and the chicken is also all-natural. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone and it has become a favorite spot of mine for a meal and/or a quick beer...or two!

We have visited Steamworks a few times now and really enjoyed our visit the first time, but our second experience was a bit more disappointing. The food is pretty good here and the atmosphere is great, but the service seems to be lacking. We came to watch football on Sunday because they have the NFL Sunday ticket, yet they don't open the doors until 11:00...which seems odd for football fans. It's nice to watch the pregame get your drink or food ordered before the games start. There were customers waiting outside for them to open. They don't have their TV's situated to watch all the games they supposedly are subscribed too and their motto is "first come first serve" when asking for games to watch. We were the first ones in the bar, but yet they changed the channel to other requests without asking us. They offer wireless internet, which is ideal for fantasy football fans that bring laptops, but they didn't offer any assistance on setting it up and finding a plugin - we did all this on our own. We waited a half hour to get a drink order, while the bartender walked by our table at least 5 times and had to ask them to put the volume on the game in the bar. These are things that I feel a sports bar should have prepared prior to the many football fans that rush in on Sunday morning. They definitely didn't seem prepared for the many customers they had on Sunday and need to have a better setup of televisions to watch all the games offered on DirectTV. The home-brewed beer is great and they have an awesome menu to choose from. They are really great about giving samples to decide which you like best. The food has always been good, but I think we may find a better place to watch the game next time.
